The 35 acre property is largely undeveloped, and great to explore, but please take the appropriate precautions when venturing off the beaten path. There are cacti that frequent the area, listen for possible rattle snakes, there will be bear spray available if desired for people to go on hikes, and boots or hiking shoes are highly recommended. I also bring my slippers and flip flops too for when I stay on the path, but if you want to venture off, I would be prepared with good footwear and pants.
Is there Power, Water & Bathroom/Handwashing Facilities on the property?
Yes, we have a strong well that we have good filtration equipment for for drinking water or to even cool off in the sun. We will provide porta potties as well as a hand washing station as well. There is also power located on the property near the common/stage area, as well as on the shed.
What is the terrain like on the property?
The 35 acres is almost entirely at least slightly-sloped and mostly undeveloped. However we have a nice drive that takes you all the way up to the treed parts of the property where many of the tent pads are located. There is also string lighting that will take you all the way to your tent.
Is SMOKING Allowed On The Property???
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! The fire danger up there is VERY EXTREME unless it 'just' rained. And even then, THERE ARE NO WOOD FIRES OF ANY KIND, and please only smoke in rock covered areas and areas entirely clear of any brush or grasses. YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE FOR VIOLATING THIS POLICY!
Are PROPANE fire pits allowed on the property?
YES! Please still be careful, but propane/camping fire pits are allowed & some fire pits will be provided in the common areas as well. BUT NO WOOD BURNING FIRES PLEASE :-)
Is there cell phone reception on the property?
There is 'some' reception in 'certain' areas on the property with AT&T (not sure about other carriers. I think Cricut actually gets some signal). BUT, we have wifi on the property that you can use to communicate with the real world if need be ;-)

Bluegrass (Password)
Can we bring our RV?
YES! #1You MUST make the minimum donation of $20 to bring your RV & RV's MUST BE 20ft or less!!!
And #2 please let me know what you are bringing. Like does it drive or a is it a pull behind? Length?
***RV Pads get assigned when I hear from you, not at point of purchase! Also, RV's are guaranteed excavated pads! ***
How many RV Pads are available?
We have 3-4 places to put a 20ft or less camper if we are notified to save the spots for RV use. Please do not just show up with your camper, and even calling on the way up helps out.
Will there be drinks available for purchase?
Lisa will host a very abbreviated bar for "Happy Hour" at about 6pm or so on Saturday evening that will last a couple of hours
Are dogs allowed to come to the event?
Very well behaved dogs are permitted (even off leash, but PLEASE BRING ONE WITH YOU! You may be asked to use it) and all other dogs that aren't 'harmless' must be on a leash at all times!!! If your dog sometimes or often does not agree with other dogs, please make other arrangements :-)
Are there rattle snakes in the area we should watch out for?
THIS IS COLORADO! So be prepared for anything. We are on the side of Grey Mountain, and there could be, in theory, be rattle snakes. I have never seen "any on the property" but here is a resource on rattlesnake safety: https://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOCUMENTS/stelprdb5393596.pdf
Are there possibly bears in the area?
THIS IS COLORADO! So be prepared for anything. We are on the side of Grey Mountain, and there could be, in theory, be bears. I have only seen "one very juvenile bear" near the property, BUT PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS! Keep Food In Cars @ Night! https://www.nps.gov/subjects/bears/safety.htm
What other types of wildlife might we see?``
Wow, we've got tons of deer and elk, we get wild turkeys, birds of prey....But hopefully we will get a good dose of the Elk & Deer populations that frequent the area
Do we need to make our minimum donation online via Eventbrite.com?
Please get your passes before event & make all of your minimum donations on the Eventbrite.com page as well! This helps tememdously our entire process. If you aren't a computer/online kind of person, please reach out to me, Travis, directly at 720.234.0601 and we will get you set up.
What is the Eventbrite Link to make my minimum donations?
Please visit: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/boogieonthehill-2023-tickets-644843212407
What is the main Boogie On The Hill 2023 Website?
If profitable, where do the minimum donation proceeds go?
All proceeds after covering the event expenses will go %100 directly to my fathers Doctor-Mission trip he founded years ago, Operation Walk Denver. (https://www.operationwalkdenver.org) You can also make direct donations to OpWalk Denver here: https://www.operationwalkdenver.org/donate.html
Is there car camping allowed at the event?
Yes & No. If your vehicle is literally part of your tent/shelter, then yes, but PLEASE be very respectful what space you take up. Depending on the amount of attendees, excavated tent pad space may be limited. Parking is available nearby the tent pads, just no parking on the pads :-)
What Activities Will Be Hosted During The Event?
Friday Night will host live music by On The Flip Side and another live music act as well (Check www.BoogieOnTheHill2023.com for current info), and Saturday Night we will host Chris Thompson & Friends and another act for music. And Saturday we will host Yoga & go tubing in the park in town!
It the event "Family-Friendly"?
Yes, please bring your kiddos. Ours will be gone at camp but we consider ourselves a family event. Kids 6 and under do not require a weekend pass either ;-)
Is there recreation available nearby?
On the property we will host 3 disc golf holes, but Estes Park is a friendly 20 miles away, and Lyons (town) is about 15 minutes down the mountain. There are many, many outdoor activities nearby in Lyons, in Estes Park, and there is great tubing and river fun in the park in Lyons (Laverne M Johnson, or Meadow Park for us old folk, ha) as well as great shopping with restaurants in Lyons as well.
Are we allowed to explore up near the property?
You must remain on The Dennis Family Property. Please don't venture off our land or drive past our property if possible. It is very hard to turn around in some areas, and technically I don't have access to the road past our property.
LASTLY! Please be beyond respectful of the neighborhood we will be partying in. I love my neighbors, respect them heavily and don't want to lose their respect. Please lets us all consider ourselves guests while up there! Drive in 4 wheel drive on the roads and be gentle to them. They are all privately owned roads and we try to take great care of them!
SEE YOU ALL THERE!!!! AND CHECK BACK FOR THE MOST UPDATED INFORMATION!!!!
